Lead times vary by project scope, material availability, and current shop capacity. Simple residential pieces, such as a range hood or shelving bracket set, typically move through the shop in 2 to 4 weeks from approved drawings. Mid-complexity commercial projects, such as a reception desk or railing system, generally take 4 to 8 weeks. Large commercial or industrial projects involving multiple components, structural elements, or phased installation are scheduled in detail at project start, and timelines are confirmed at that stage. Final lead times are determined based on project complexity, fabrication requirements, and material availability.
Lukim Metal provides full design and engineering services as part of the project. You don’t need to arrive with completed drawings. If you have a concept, a rough sketch, or a design reference, the team produces 2D and 3D CAD drawings and formal shop drawings for your review and approval before fabrication begins. If you’re an architect or designer working from your own drawings, Lukim Metal can fabricate directly from your specifications. Either way, the engineering work is done in-house. A design consultation fee may apply for complex projects and is confirmed at the initial discussion. It is typically credited toward fabrication when the project proceeds.
Lukim Metal serves residential, commercial, and industrial clients across Ontario, Canada and the US. Residential projects include range hoods, staircases, railings, feature walls, and outdoor metalwork commissioned by homeowners and architects. Commercial clients include restaurants, bars, hotels, retail spaces, corporate offices, healthcare facilities, and institutional buildings, which are common sources of reception desks, partition walls, commercial kitchens, and architectural features. Industrial clients include manufacturers, warehouses, automotive facilities, and processing plants that need safety gates, machine guarding, platforms, and exhaust systems. Lukim Metal also serves professional offices, cosmetic clinics, wellness centres, fitness clubs, and other specialty retail and hospitality businesses throughout the GTA.
Lukim Metal handles installation as part of the project service. After fabrication and in-house quality inspection, the team delivers and installs across Toronto, the GTA, and Ontario. Having the same crew install what they built avoids the specification gaps that occur when separate contractors manage each phase. If a fit issue arises on site, it is resolved by the team that built the piece, not passed between contractors. Installation scope and cost are confirmed at the time of project quotation. Not all projects require on-site installation: some clients take delivery and handle placement themselves, particularly for freestanding pieces such as planters or room dividers.

No. Lukim Metal specializes in custom metal fabrication built from new engineering drawings. The shop does not currently offer repair services for damaged metal products and does not take on small-quantity duplication of standard retail items.
If a project involves replicating an existing off-the-shelf product in bulk or repairing a broken metal component, it falls outside the scope of what Lukim Metal offers, as the shop’s capabilities are set up for projects where design, engineering, and custom production are the core of the work.
